Sizing Chart/Hat Care
**Finding Your Hat Size**
Hat sizing is based on the circumference of your head. To find the right fit, you'll need to measure your head where the hat will sit—typically about half an inch above your eyebrows.
Use a soft measuring tape and wrap it around your head, making sure it sits level and isn’t twisted. If you don’t have a tape measure, you can use a piece of string and then measure the string against a ruler.
If you're between sizes or unsure, it's best to size up for a more comfortable fit.
Once you have your measurement, refer to the chart below to find your ideal hat size.
**Hat Care Guide**
**Taking Care of Your Hat:**
To keep your hat looking its best, always handle it by the brim—not the crown. While it may feel natural to grab the front pinch of the crown, repeated handling in that spot can wear down the felt and eventually create a hole.
When you're setting your hat down, never rest it on its brim if the brim is turned downward. Instead, place it upside down on the crown. Resting it on a down-turned brim can cause the brim to lose its shape. If the brim is snapped up, it’s okay to rest it carefully on the brim.
We recommend gently brushing your hat with a soft-bristled hat brush on a regular basis. This will help remove dust, lint, or surface dirt and keep the hat looking sharp.
Keep your hat away from heat sources like stoves, heaters, lamps, or car windows—heat can shrink the inner sweatband and warp the shape. When not in use, store your hat in a cool, dry place. During off-seasons, keep it in a hat box to protect it from dust and maintain its form.
**If Your Hat Gets Wet:**
If your felt hat gets caught in the rain or snow, gently reshape it while it’s still damp. Then, flip out the leather sweatband and let the hat rest upside down on it to dry. Avoid placing it on its brim if the brim is turned down. If the brim is snapped up, you can carefully rest it on the brim.
Never use direct heat to dry your hat. Heat can shrink the sweatband and leave permanent marks or uneven texture in the felt. Let it dry naturally in a well-ventilated space.
